MULTIPLAYER STRUCTURE 2011-06

Opening ceremony for cultural summer school [En kulturskola i rörelse, EKIR] in Gothenburg.

Workshop for 370 participants in the ages between 12 and 18.

Material: 3000 wooden laths (180 cm, 25x25 mm), 8000 cable ties, sandpaper, black markers, words, field.

On arrival the participants were given four wooden laths, sandpaper, cable ties, a black marker and the beginning of four sentaneces: I am a person who..., You are a person who..., If I was i charge..., When they are in charge...
The sentences were to be completed on the laths with marker. No right or wrong, just thoughts, feelings, visions, intentions.
When written on, the laths were built together forming a large collaborative structure. More laths and cable ties was available.
The (EKIR) Multiplayer Structure was a time and site specific event, an on-site experience that was removed the same day.
