BUBBLES 2008-11

Time: November 29, 2008, in the afternoon.
Location: Gothenburg, Harrry Hjörnes Plats (and several other
spots).

Circumstances: Two degrees above freezing. Early Christmas shoppers in town. Strong winds and occasional showers. An urge to blow bubbles.

Not so unexpected result: Smiles and people trying to catch the bubbles.

Unexpected result (1): The long discussion on where the blowing would take place? Would it be okay to do it in Nordstan? Can bubbles be offensive inside a shopping mall? Fascinating to contemplate whether our elusive bubbles could disrupt the steady flow of weekend consumers.

Unexpected result (2): The feeling of practicing an urban sport. Soon after our first shot we went looking for new spots where the bubbles would move nicely, their colors shine in different light, or where the bubbles would appear unexpectedly for by-passers.
