AT THE CENTER OF EVENTS - EXPERIMENTAL LAND ART SPACE, BOTTNA - 2011-10
In the exhibition Bottna Land Art 2011 we built a wooden structure in an abandoned quarry. With its 3000 laths wrapping itself around the rock, the structure was clearly an addition to the site. Time and weather has integrated the structure with the surrounding environment. The Third Landscape is now the landscape.
As a pilot project for Experimentyta Land Art, the site will now serve as a platform for new interventions and events. We intend to invite people with different experiences and skills, who will add new stories to the ongoing narrative.
Documentation of the events will be posted below.

Late October. Finishing seminar @ Gerlesborgsskolan. Fog. We hadn't seen the structure since July and didn't know what to expect. A small part had fallen. We fixed it and had a cup of coffee. The structure is now more a part of the surrounding space. It seems more quiet and content. The site is obviously a different place now. A good place. |

| january 2012 - reading the structure | ||
Late January. Snow. The structure still stands. The passing storms has blown right through. We pass the mic to actor Robert Bolin. He walks around and interprets the texts, gently poking the structure to uncover the laths from the powdery snow. Sounds are softened. After three hours we leave the quarry once again. With cold feet, a new friend and tape filled with texts brought to life. |
